Junior Women’s Hockey Asia Cup: Japan crush Pakistan 17-0

LAHORE: Japan thrashed Pakistan 17-0 in a group match of the Junior Women’s Hockey Asia Cup in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on Sunday. According to a spokesman for the Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF), Japan were leading 3-0 at half time. Pakistan coach Muhammad Akhlaq said the Pakistan team members tried their best but the opponents were too good. Earlier, China beat Thailand 18-0 and India defeated Singapore 8-0. Pakistan will face hosts Malaysia on December 17 and play their last pool match against China on December 18.
